Effects of workplace health and safety practices on productivity: A cross sectional study in the banking industry of Botswana

Abstract
The study examines the effects of workplace health and safety practices
on productivity among employee in Botswana banking sector. The descriptive
cross-sectional survey research design was employed. Purposeful and convenient
sampling technique was used to collect data from 240 respondents. Data Analysis
was carried out with the use of Statistical Package for Social Science v. 20.
The study revealed employees understanding of workplace health and safety
procedure with the banking sector in Botswana. Also, findings of the study
showed employee awareness of workplace health safety procedures in the banking
sector of Botswana. Recommendations for bank managers and directions for future
studies are discussed
