Abstract
In the contemporary age, digitalization has exerted a profound impact on virtually every domain, with education standing out prominently. Within the educational sphere, the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a widely adopted approach, encompassing technology-driven methods of teaching and learning that are intricately connected to the utilization of learning technologies in higher education. The incorporation of technology in education significantly contributes to the overall teaching and learning (T-L) process, encompassing both pedagogical and assessment components. One specific facet where technology plays a pivotal role is Assessment for Learning (AFL), a pedagogical strategy focused on generating feedback to improve student performance. Enhancing the quality of assessment involves the utilization of diverse assessment tools directly linked to advancements in student achievement. Notably, there exists a myriad of e-assessment tools designed to assist educators, students, and administrators. Examples include Google Form-based quizzes, Kahoot! Quizizz, Socrative and Dugga among others. This study focuses on the concept of e-assessment tools, emphasizing their necessity and significance in the educational landscape. Additionally, it provides an extensive list of various e-assessment tools along with their applications. The researchers aim to offer educational insights, suggesting ways to effectively incorporate e-assessment tools into the teaching-learning process for optimal student learning outcomes.
