The role of value-based education in emotional intelligence and wellbeing

Abstract
Value-Based Education (VBE) plays a critical
role in nurturing emotional intelligence (EI) and zpromoting the overall
wellbeing of students. As emotional and psychological concerns rise globally,
the integration of values within education offers a proactive solution for
cultivating self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, and ethical
behavior. This paper explores the interplay between VBE and EI, discusses the
implications for student wellbeing, and highlights pedagogical strategies and
challenges in implementing such an approach. It concludes by underscoring the
necessity of aligning VBE with national education policies to ensure the
holistic development of learners.
