Social factors and health issues related to school pregnancies in Bouake (Cote d'ivoire)

Abstract
This study analyses the determinants of school pregnancies and its effects on students. To achieve this purpose, the survey is carried out in Bouaké located in Gbêkê area at the Kennedy Girls college and at the modern college of Belleville Bouaké) due to repeated pregnancies. Qualitative research through the focus group and quantitative based on questionnary helped to collect the data, analyzed with theories, including dialectic analysis, stakeholder theory and holism. The results of the study identified and analyzed the socio-economic and psychological factors of pregnancies, and explained health risks and deschooling. The presence of pregnancies shows the need for a deconstruction of the control policy in schools.
