Rural India face a server technology deficit. While there are other serious shortages-power, water, health facilities, roads, etc. these are known and recognised. The backbone of the rural economy is agriculture, which also provides sustenance to over halt the country’s population. Science and research have played important role in increasing yields. The green revolution of the 1970s was, in fact powered by the scientific work in various agricultural research institutions. The goal of technologies is to educate children about processes and technologies that can improve the lives of people in poor or disadvantaged communities, while respecting their local environment.
