Role of transportation in Indian economy

Abstract
Transport or transportation is the movement of people, animals and goods from one location to another. Modes of transport include air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline and space. The field can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles and operations. Transport is important because it enables trade between people, which is essential for the development of civilizations. The transport and the communication sector or also, known as tertiary sector is the main sector which contributes maximum in our GDP (gross domestic product) also increase our national income and the scientific advancement and technology has revolutionized the system of communication and transport and brought people very close to each other, to be in touch all the time and making the world a global village.
