Social intelligence of children of working and non-working mothers of Kashmir: A comparative study

Abstract
The study explored the social intelligence of children of working and non-working mothers of Kashmir. 600 children of working and non-working mothers was selected as sample (in which 300 were children of working mothers and 300 of non-working mothers). Social intelligence scale developed by Chadda and Usha Gansan was used. For the present study mean, SD and t-test was used for statistical analysis. On various dimensions of social intelligence children of working mothers have found more patient, high confidence level, more sensitive and have strong memory. It was also depicted that children of non-working mothers have found more cooperative and high recognition of social intelligence. The result of study also indicated that children of working mothers were found to have high social intelligence on composite scores than the children of non-working mothers.
