Abstract
A lot of research is going on for innovating new ways and means to preserve the manuscripts and archival materials from the onslaught of weather, worms etc. National Archives of India (NAI) is doing commendable work in this direction. The paper highlights the role of NAI in preserving the precious archival records and manuscript wealth of India. Preservation techniques being employed to keep these endangered documents in good health have also been discussed in this paper.
