Today, in everyone’s lives, the media have been playing a very major role. Media tells us everything about the entire world and that is what we usually base our opinion on. It has started affecting the thought process of the people and has started changing the opinions of the people. The fact that there was a time when the internet, television, smart phones, tablets and so on were considered a necessity but now they seem to be more of a commodity teenagers seem to be addicted to. The teenagers of today seem too engrossed in watching their favorite shows on their smart phones or laptops. They tend to spend hours over the internet interacting with the strangers that could be a very dangerous thing to them. They prefer using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc instead of studying or doing an outdoor activity. They prefer playing video games. Many studies have shown that video games with violent contents are associated with the violent behavior. This concern is very important because most of the popular video games contain violent contents. In this paper my major concern is to show how media is becoming in making them addicted to the various social sites and video games.
