Today’s government has full faith in e-Governance and widespread network of e-Governance across the world proves its importance. E-Governance is the online delivery of public services to the citizens, businesses and other governmental institutions. It is the technology which provides online availability of public services. It helps officials and higher authorities to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. In this paper, concept, definitions of e-Governance, growth and development of e-Governance, important projects related to e-Governance, legal framework, social impediments in the implementation of e-Governance and suggestions to improve the working of e-Governance are discussed.
