Methods of treatment of giant postoperative ventral hernias and their complications are constantly updating, by the necessity to reduce the number of postoperative complications, recurrence and death. The article presents an overview of the foreign and domestic literature on the surgical treatment of giant postoperative hernias in modern herniology.
