Abstract
In India where the endeavor of the State is towards the well-being of its subjects there is a need to understand the concept of rights and there correlation with the duties. However, there is a requirement to harmonise the need of the people to live and survive with the rights which are provided by the law so that the people are capable to exercise these rights to the fullest extent. In this paper an attempt has been made to understand the dynamics in which the rights play vis a vis the physical needs of the people.
